Chicken Inn mobilises fans

WE need a bite!

Based in Bulawayo where Highlanders FC is the dominant team in terms of following, Chicken Inn just like other local teams How Mine, Bulawayo City and recently relocated Tsholotsho have been struggling to get a loyal following.

Chicken Inn FC arrived on the scene in 2011 and won the championship in 2015 but still, fans have been hard to come by. Therefore, the team is embarking on a charm offensive.

a?We have been in the league for sometime but our support base is not growing, so we are making ways and we will soon engage a marketing person who will join us in the executive or board for us to mobilise the support,a? said the clubas secretary general Tavengwa Hara.

The team only gets big numbers when playing the most followed clubs but Hara is of the view that the quality of football they play should help.

a?For instance we had big numbers that came to support us when we played Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.

Thatas what we want but the issue is you only attract numbers when you are playing good football,a? bemoaned Hara.
