Chidzambwa to hold private clinic

Sports Reporter
SUNDAY Chidzambwa, the most successful coach in the country, says he has turned his attention on developing emerging football stars in the capital under the age of 13.
The former Warriors and Dynamos coach cannot coach, in the structures under ZIFA, as he battles to overturn a ban imposed on him by the association for his alleged role in Asiagate.

Chidzambwa, who is free to coach in foreign leagues, insists that he was not involved in the match-fixing scandal and is hoping for relief from world football governing body FIFA.

He has also been engaging ZIFA leaders for a possible resolution of his case.

Yesterday, Chidzambwa said he would, in the mean time, concentrate on a project to develop youth footballers from the ages of five to 13 at Raylton Sports Club.

“When I went to Brazil I saw that they put a lot of emphasis on developing their young players, from as young as five, and it’s something that I have always wanted to do,” said Chidzambwa.

“I have decided to teach three groups of youthful footballers, the first group aged between five and seven, the second one between eight and 10 and the third one between 11 and 13 at Raylton Sports Club and we starting on Saturday (tomorrow) from 8am.

“It’s a private clinic and it’s for those parents who want the best for their kids and anyone interested is welcome.”
