A week after her participation at the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon, Fortunate Chidzivo has set her eyes on defending her titles on the local scene, starting with the Tanganda Half Marathon on June 28 in Mutare.

Chidzivo won the race last year and has confirmed she is returning for this year’s edition to try and retain the title.

After the half marathon, she is set to line up at the Econet Victoria Falls Marathon on July 5.

Chidzivo is also the reigning champion and is looking forward to defending her title.

“The Cape Town Marathon was a blow on my face. I was so disappointed by my body’s reaction, but it is what it is, we move on.

“Up next is the Tanganda Half Marathon and then the Vic Falls Marathon as I will be defending my titles,” said Chidzivo.
