Chief Marupi dies

GWANDA’S Chief Marupi has died.
Born Oaheng Nare, Chief Marupi died at Healthpoint Hospital in Harare where he was admitted after a short illness.
He was 28.

Gwanda District Development Coordinator Ms Nomathemba Ndlovu confirmed the incident.
“We have learnt with great sadness of the passing of our youngest Chief in Gwanda, Chief Marupi. He passed on this evening while admitted at Healthpoint Hospital in Harare,” she said last night.

Chief Marupi was installed in 2012 as a minor awaiting to officially take over in 2014 when he turned 18.
He took over from his father Lawrence Nare who died in 2008.
Chief Marupi is survived by his wife Rorisang Tlou.
