Mbetsa, confirmed the death and said the province had learnt with shock the death of one of the most senior traditional leaders in Manicaland.
“Chief Muusha died at his rural home in Mhakwe and burial is set for Saturday. His death is a loss to the whole province as he was one of the most respected chiefs. We join the Muusha people in mourning their chief,” said Mr Mbetsa.
Chief Muusha was appointed substantive chief on February 18, 2008 by President Mugabe to become the 13th chief in that area.
His death comes hot on the heels of the death of one of his headmen, Headman Gudyanga who died at Birchenough Bridge Hospital recently.
The late Headman Gudyanga was born Tizirepi Murombo Gudyanga on June 6, 1921 under Chief Muusha’s jurisdiction in Chimanimani.
He succumbed to congestive cardiac failure after being rushed to Birchenough Bridge Hospital where he died four hours later.
Headman Gudyanga resumed fatherly roles at an early age after his father died in South Africa where he worked then.
