Chiefs, Agama goalless at half-time

Bulawayo Chiefs and Agama remain locked at 0-0 at half-time in their Munhumutapa Challenge Cup Round of 32 clash at Luveve Stadium.

Chiefs have enjoyed the better of the chances in a first half that started at a pedestrian pace, but they have been unable to find the breakthrough.

Brian Muza came closest early on when he headed Brian Rusinga’s corner wide after nine minutes.

Melikhaya Ncube then tried his luck from the edge of the box, curling his effort narrowly wide before Goncalves Chissele forced a save from the Agama goalkeeper after being picked out by Ncube.

Agama has shown glimpses of danger through the lively Tinashe Balakasi, who has caused occasional problems for the Chiefs defence, although the visitors have struggled to create clear-cut chances.

Chiefs will feel they should have gone into the break ahead and will need greater precision in front of goal after the restart if they are to avoid being dragged into a nervy knockout contest.
