Chigubhu who has gained prominence over the past year featuring in a number of festivals and shows, including the Shoko Festival which was graced by some of the top comedians from Zimbabwe and other African countries, said up-and-coming comedians lack exposure hence his decision to recruit them.
“I am already looking for a venue where the up-and-coming comedians can do their training. My major challenge however, is lack of resources,” he said.
Last week Chigubhu took part in a Christmas comedy show in Harare titled the Christmas Box, which featured fellow renowned comedians Carl Joshua Ncube and Cde Fatso.
Chigubhu said he was satisfied with his performance at the show and was looking forward to better shows next year.
“It was great to perform in front of such a big crowd. What I am planning to do next year is to recruit more comedians,” he said.
Chigubhu is a graduate of Amakhosi Theatre and recently featured in a TV commercial that is set to run on national TV.
