Family welcomes requests for Adam’s hero status

The family has also indicated that the former national team soccer striker would be laid to rest on Saturday in Bulawayo.

Adam’s elder brother, Madinda Ndlovu, a former soccer great himself said the family appreciated the respect that the nation accorded to the former Warriors and Highlanders’ marksman and as such they were open to suggestions that he be accorded  hero status.

“If the nation says this is what they want of Adam, we will certainly consent to that, in fact we will feel honoured as the Ndlovu family that one of us has been recognised much as we are already touched by the mere fact of those suggestions,” said Madinda.

The Zanu-PF National Secretary for Education, Dr Sikhanyiso Ndlovu, on Monday said Bulawayo Province has requested that he be accorded liberation hero status.

Ndlovu (42) was killed in a car accident on Sunday morning.
