DYNAMOS manager Richard Chihoro was presented with a perfect birthday present on Wednesday when he turned 59 years in style with the Glamour Boys beating Triangle at Gibbo. The victory thrust DeMbare firmly back in the championship race as they chase the immortality of becoming the first Zimbabwean football club to win five straight league titles on the bounce.

Chihoro, who could not celebrate the milestone with his family as he was away with the team, celebrated with the players and his fellow technical team members.

“It was my birthday yesterday (Wednesday). I turned 59 years and the victory by the team was a perfect birthday present,” said Chihoro.

“We celebrated the victory and we celebrated the day and I am very happy. It would have been a different day had we lost on such an important day of my life.”

He said the key victory left them bursting with confidence ahead of their tie against Tsholotsho on Sunday.

It is going to be a big day on Sunday as SuperSport has fixtured a double-header with How Mine and Triangle first clashing in an early kick off at 1 pm before the Tsholotsho versus Dynamos match follows at 3pm.

Three of the teams are involved in the title race.

“We are looking at collecting full points in our next match. We are concentrating on one game at a time and after winning against tough opponents like Triangle, who are second and playing good game, we are now fully geared for the match against Tsholotsho.
