Children to broadcast

Indigenisation and Community Development Minister Saviour Kasukuwere said the children were expected to deliberate on issues affecting them. These discussions will be done through drama, song, poetry, sport and interviews focusing on all facets of children’s development.
“Children representatives will take the opportunity to discuss issues of concern with a particular focus on different forms of child abuse, birth registration, recent increase in child disappearances and access to education among other issues,” Minister Kasukuwere said.
His ministry will be facilitating the children’s discussions between 10.30am and 11.30am.
The International Day of Children in Broadcasting is commemorated on March 25 every year. This year’s commemorations will run under the theme: “I trust you — protect me.”
