He was welcomed at the Victoria Falls Airport by Matabeleland North Governor Thokozile Ma-tutu and other senior government officials.
He is on a two-day visit that will further ceme-nt political and economic relations between Harare and Beijing.
Zimbabwe and China enjoy sound relations dating back to the days of the liberation struggle.
Mr Wang is visiting Zimbabwe at the invitation of Vice President Joice Mujuru.
The visit comes hot on the heels of a visit last month by Chinese Foreign Minister Mr Yang Jiechi who described Zimbabwe as China’s key partner in Southern Africa.
Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Xin Shu-nkang has described Mr Wang’s visit as “a demonstration of the importance China attached to the Sino-Zim relations”.
During his visit, Mr Wang will hold discussions with VP Mujuru.
He is also expected to meet President Mugabe and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai.
Ambassador Shunkang said the leaders would discuss a number of issues among them bilateral relations, the Forum of China-Africa Co-operation.
The Vice-Premier will also witness the signing of several economic co-operation agreements between Zimbabwe and China.
He will also inspect the China-Zimbabwe Friendship Brightness Project at Chitungwiza Central Hospital.
Chinese doctors are in Zimbabwe where they are expected to carry out free cataract extraction operations on 500 patients.
Beijing gave technical, financial and moral support to Zimbabwe’s freedom fighters.
Diplomatic ties were established at independence in 1980 and relations between the world’s second largest economy and Zimbabwe continue to grow.
China and other progressive nations like Ru-ssia blocked attempts by the West led by the US and Britain to impose sanctions on Zimbabwe through the United Nations Security Council system in yet another testimony of the close relations between Harare and Beijing.
On the economic front, China has supported Zimbabwe’s land reform programme by supplying agricultural machinery.
It has invested in mining and has built schools and hospitals across the country.
