Yesterday the delegation that is on a three-day visit paid a courtesy call on Presidential Affairs Minister Didymus Mutasa at his Munhumutapa Offices.
The Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, Cde Zhou Changkai is leading the delegation.
Speaking during the meeting with Minister Mutasa, Cde Zhou said their visit was meant to cement the good ties between the two countries and explore business opportunities.
“President Mugabe is a friend of the Chinese people and as Chinese youths we would like to wish good health to the President.
“The Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China has always had good relations with Zimbabwe,” Cde Zhou.
He said the objective of the visit was future oriented and the delegation wanted to know the social and economic environment in Zimbabwe.
“As youths we feel it is important to (promote) young entrepreneurs as they are important for the development of our two countries,” he said.
Minister Mutasa, who was standing in for President Mugabe, said he hoped Zimbabwean youths would learn from their Chinese counterparts how to establish their own businesses.
“I hope we will learn quite a lot from you on this occasion. I like the fact that you are young entrepreneurs and hope that we can copy from you and do the same as you are doing in China.
“Those of you who are receiving the delegation, I hope you will learn from them and learn how they have established their businesses and how they have grown,” Minister Mutasa said.
The delegation yesterday visited Mashonaland East and is today expected to visit Manicaland.
The delegation is made up of youths with interest in various sectors of the economy.
