Chinhoi leads Zim golfers

TOP Zimbabwe professional golfer Robson Chinhoi headlines a cast of five Zimbabweans who will be taking part at the Vodacom Origins of Golf Final Oubaai which tees off on Thursday this week, in the Western Cape, South Africa.

The other Zimbabweans taking part in the final event of the series include Stuart Krog, David Amm Pride Sembo, and Shaahid Mahmed.

THE Vodacom Origins of Golf is a series of pro-am golf tournaments in South Africa. The series began in 2004 and forms part of the winter swing of the Southern Africa-based Sunshine Tour.

Only two Zimbabweans Ryan Cairns at the Vodacom Origins of Golf at Simola and Mark Williams bagged the Vodacom Origins of Golf Final at St Francis Links in Port Elizabeth, in 2016 while Williams was a runner-up at Vodacom Origins of Golf at St Francis in 2015.

Oubaai Golf Club which was inaugurated in 2005 by South African golf legend Ernie Els boasts expansive fairways that present golfers with enticing risk-and-reward scenarios.
