A Chinhoyi-based group, The Rockers Crew, which has become a household name in the town, will support Kunonga, who will bring to the show an exciting discography, dating years back, since he started music.
Gig spokesperson Musekiwa Tapera said fans in the town were looking forward to a night of fun, something they have been preparing for, for months.
“Being a small town, we rarely get an opportunity to host gigs, but when we finally get the chance, we always want to bring top-notch entertainment to our fans,” said Tapera.
Kunonga is famous for his ability to strum the acoustic guitar in addition to his defining and commanding voice.
Born on October 24 1974, the former body- builder has released a catalogue of albums that have put him on the local musical map as one of the artistes, who both have talent and high degree of professionalism.
He first stormed the music scene with his album, “Such is Life: Ndanyengetedzwa” in 2004.
Since then, Victor’s fame risen and he has firmly established himself as one of the leading jazz legends in the making in Zimbabwe.
He also performed along side musical greats like Oliver Mtukudzi, Chiwoniso Maraire and South African musicians Jabu Khanyile and Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
