Chinhoyi town clerk wins top award

Chinhoyi Municipality town clerk Mr Maxwell Kaitano is basking in glory after he outshone all the northern region leaders in the country to win the prestigious best team leader award for this year at the 2017 MegaFest business awards held last Friday.

The local authority also walked away with an accolade, as it won the second runner’s up award, behind Manyame Rural District Council and Ruwa. Chinhoyi Municipality spokesperson Mr Tichaona Mlauzi thanked council stakeholders for the unwavering support they were offering to the municipality.

“Our special thanks go to our relevant stakeholders who have stood with us during the hard and good times,” he said.

Mr Mlauzi said the quest for achievement was always at the core of the local authority values.

“Last year, we also won took first prize for Urban Councils performance awards road maintenance and social services best roads,” he said.
