CHINTULI CROSSES GREAT DIVIDE, JOINS CAPS

FORMER Dynamos striker Nyasha Chintuli has set his sights on a successful stint with CAPS United after joining the club on a two-year deal.

He becomes one of the many players who have now turned out for the two great rivals.

Chintuli, who recently returned to Zimbabwe after a stint in Eswatini, expressed his excitement about joining the Green Machine, citing its rich history.

“I am glad to join a club with such a rich history,” Chintuli said.

“After facing some challenges in Eswatini, I felt it was time to return home and start anew.

“I am grateful to CAPS United for giving me this opportunity.”

The striker has promised to give his all to help the club win trophies and cement their status as one of the giants on the local scene.

“There are many talented players at the club and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with them while also learning new things,” Chintuli said.

His arrival is seen as a major boost to the CAPS United squad.

There has been concern among the Green Machine fans that they are not seeing the arrival of the quality of players they need to win the championship.

Makepekepe last won the title nine years ago and have struggled to make a similar impact in  recent years.

The club released Lot Chiwunga, who has already joined Herentals, and Chintuli comes in as a direct replacement.

CAPS United have also seen Kingsley Mureremba, Godknows Murwira and Tonderai Mateyaunga leave the club.

The Green Machine brought in Tanaka Shandirwa from Yadah.

Shandirwa spent the last two seasons at Dynamos but, last year, his form plummeted as he battled challenges off the pitch.

He feels that Lloyd Chitembwe’s no nonsense approach could help him rediscover the form which took him into the Warriors squad.
