The popular children’s organisation, Chipawo recently launched ‘Bringing Chipawo to more chidren” in Kadoma as a way of involving more children into their programmes.
The launch brought Jairos Jiri children’s home in the town to life with disabled children showcasing brilliant dance moves and songs at the show.
The event was graced by the Kadoma MP, Mayor, Councillors, District Administrator, among other school heads.
The children from Jairos Jiri did gave a polished act as they danced to Jerusalem,
Chokoto, Muchongoyo, marimba and songs played on the mbira.
The Kadoma MP Decster Nduna applauded Chipawo for the great work they are doing working with children.
“We are very happy as a constituency that Chipawo you have finally decided to visit us and establish a lasting relationship with us.
“These children shall benefit a lot from you as you specialize on grooming talents children carry,said Nduma.
Bringing Chipawo to more children is a programme catering for children that are outside Harare making them to participate in events since most times they do not get a chance to participate in things like HIFA.
Chipawo and Culture Fund of Zimbabwe partnership to this programme and started in 2009 and to date Chipawo has launched three schools and have established clusters in MT Darwin, Hurungwe and Kadoma.
Chipawo is an Arts Education organisation which works with children and young people around Zimbabwe training them and exposing their artistic talent.
The project has is expanding and rural children are benefiting a lot from it.
