ACE music promoter, Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza will hold four high-profile gigs in the capital on September 3.

The award-winning promoter’s quadruple coincides with the last day of the Harare Agricultural Show.

Alick Macheso will headline a sungura fete at Pamuzinda Highway X-Scape.

He will share the stage with Mark Ngwazi, Somandla Ndebele, Leonard Zhakata and Peter Moyo.

Radio personality, Skywalker, arguably the most popular figure on local radio today, will also grace the event.

The annual Harare Cup Clash, parading an array of chanters, will be held at City Sports Centre, on the same night.

Top chanters and dancehall sounds will also perform at the event.

As expected, new chanters will also be born at the event.

Zim Hip Hop and Amapiano lovers will have something to smile about when Chipaz holds another bash at LongCheng Plaza Car Park.

Dubbed Face of Hip Hop, top South African wheel-spinners Gold Max, Mobi Dixon, Cndo and Mbali Umshove are also part of the bill.

Local rappers – Holy Ten, Stunner, T-Gonz – have also been included in the line-up.

Gospel lovers will have something to smile about as the same stable will hold a family show at Harare Gardens on the same day.

Dubbed Dare Guru, the show will feature Baba Manyeruke, Mathias Mhere, Fungisai Zvakavapano, Mai Patai and Zolasko from Botswana.

In an interview with H-Metro, Chipaz said they were ready for the big day.

“We have done all the ground work and all this is due proper planning.

“After taking a break over the years to give others the platform, we decided to make a comeback after realising that there was a huge gape.

“We have been holding similar gigs over the years and this is not new to those who know us,” he said.

Added Chipaz:

“As a promoter, I always want to give artists the right platform to express themselves.

“Of course I have been criticised for hold more shows in one day but it’s all about planning.

“We will continue doing the same as long as resources permit because as a registered promoter I have a made to play.”
