VETERAN Zimbabwe goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze is happy to back in the South African Premiership with Magesi FC.

Chipezeze, who captains the team, told Zimpapers Sport that he is excited to be back among the best in South African football.
“It’s exciting times, obviously, because that was the goal for last season to try and push so that we could gain promotion.

“And, as a club, we are very excited because it has been something that a lot of us dreamt of and looking at our squad we had a lot of young players, who wished to play in the DStv Premier League. So, it was a journey and half you know with all the challenges that we faced but we managed to push through. We are just excited and we can’t wait to start playing games.”

He added: “As you know it’s pre-season and it’s always tough. Now we need to be mentally strong because we are new, even though l have the experience of playing in the Premiership, some of the boys are still new. And, like I said, it’s exciting times and we are looking forward to the season and we are trying to push as hard as we can and you never know where we will be at the end of the season.”
