NOMADIC coach Mark Mathe has reunited with former Harare City mentor, Mark Harrison, at Mozambican top-flight side, UD Songo FC. The two worked together at Harare City.

Speaking from his base in Mozambique, Mathe said they have had a decent start to the campaign and believes they will be a factor in the title race.

“I have settled in very well in Mozambique and I am glad that our team is doing so well. We have played nine matches, won five, drew three and lost one. We are sitting on number three on the log and we hope to keep the momentum going and see where the league race takes us.”

Mathe has worked at a number of clubs in Zimbabwe, including Harare City, CAPS United, Talen Vision, Highlanders, Zimbabwe Saints, Golden Eagles and was also part of the national Under-20 technical team.
Harrison arrived in Mozambique after a stint in Malawi where he revived the fortunes of Mighty Wanderers, who are the main rivals of Kalisto Pasuwa’s Nyasa Big Bullets.

While his Wanderers lost the championship race, Harrison received a lot of praise for the way he transformed his club into a very competitive outfit. Pasuwa’s Big Bullets have been struggling in the opening 11 games of the season in the Malawian top-flight league.

They are already 13 points behind leaders Silver Strikers who have 19 points from their opening 11 matches. Mighty Wanderers are in second place, eight points adrift of the leaders, on 21 points. Big Bullets, who are battling in-house problems, have won just three of their opening 11 games, drawn seven and lost one match.
