Chipinge man up for sodomy

A CHIPINGE man (53) allegedly sodomised his tenant’s visiting brother recently.
Thomas Mareta of House Number 784, Altra low-density suburb appeared before Chipinge magistrate, Mr Noah Gwatidzo facing aggravated indecent assault charges.
Mareta pleaded guilty to the charge.
It is alleged that on September 28, the complainant visited his sister who is the accused person’s tenant.
The relative asked Mareta to accommodate him for the night since the accused person is not married and has no children.
Mareta agreed to sleep with the visitor in his bedroom. He proceeded to sodomise him.
The complainant notified his sister who made a police report leading to Mareta’s arrest.
However, the court was still to pass his sentence at the time of going to Press.
Mr Witness Nyamundaya prosecuted.
