KAIZER Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela says recent signings that include Zimbabweans Edmore Chirambadare and Michelle Katsvairo need to be given time to adjust.
Chirambadare and Katsvairo, who are ex-Chicken Inn players, joined Amakhosi a couple of months ago and have played cameo roles for the Soweto football giants.
Kaizer Chiefs have had a bad start to the season losing their first league game and being knocked out of the MTN8 Cup.
However,AA Komphela is backing his new signings that include Zambian Lewis Macha to succeed.
a?They have only played two matches. One would have hoped that they would be given a bit of a chance,a? Komphela told Mzansi Football.
a?Adaptation is not easy for foreign players. The culture and the way of playing the game is very different here. From a technical point of view,A in terms of their finishing, their technique, itas fine. I think strikers are born with that natural instinct, but it takes time,a? he added.
At Chiefs are the attack minded duo of Chirambadare (24) and Katsvairo (26) star midfielder and fellow countryman, Willard Katsande who has been with Chiefs for the past five seasons.
The two Zimbabwean attackers signed three-year contracts with Amakhosi. Both Katsvairo and Chirambadare impressed while on trials at the Soweto-based outfit in March this year, and Komphela did not think twice about signing them.
