Chiredzi town council official convicted of criminal abuse of office

A Chiredzi Town Council official has been sentenced to 280 hours of community service after being convicted on charges of abuse of office.
The Chiredzi Magistrate Court heard that Emily Paradza (55), during the period of April 26, 2019, to 31 January 2019, as the Director of Housing and Community Services, allegedly sold a stand that had been allocated to a retired employee as his gratuity.

The employee had served Chiredzi Town Council for 30 years.
