A 67-year-old Chirumanzu man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping his two minor daughters.

The man appeared before the Gweru Magistrates’ Court.

He was convicted of raping his daughters aged five and eleven on various occasions in 2024.

The court heard that the man threatened to harm the minors if they reported the abuse to anyone.

The matter came to light after the girls’ mother noticed strange behaviour in her daughters.

A police report was made, leading to the man’s arrest.
