THE second edition of the ChiTown Colour Festival, which was held on Saturday at the Aquatic Complex, was a resounding success.
The director of the event, Obert ‘Obangoe’ Mhuriro, was clearly happy with how things panned out.
“I would like to thank The Lord God Almighty and everyone who contributed to the event for it to be a success as the journey was not easy.
“Since I was a child, l always wanted to hold such events and this is what inspired me to plan for colour festivals.
“It was hard because of financial challenges.
“The first and second edition of the Chitungwiza Colour Festival have attracted a lot of people and l would like to thank God for that.
“The Chitungwiza Colour Festival is under the Tumbler festival and it moves from city to city and so far we have managed to hold it in Marondera, Bundura, Chitungwiza, Bulawayo, Mutare, Gweru and Masvingo.
“The main aim of this colour festival is to bring families together and have fun.”
Artists like Bagga, Libho, Madedido, Jnr Spragga, to name but a few, took part at the festival.
“We are looking forward to the third edition of the colour festival which will be held next year and this time it will be a bomb because we want it to be a memorable event.”
Shanel Mangani, who attended the event, said:
“It’s my first time to attend this event but we had fun and everything went well and we are looking forward to the third edition next year.”
