The Chitungwiza Municipality is holding its annual strategic planning review workshop at the Chinhoyi University of Technology Hotel.
Councillors, management, residents’ associations and the Chitungwiza business community are attending the workshop that will end on Wednesday.
In his welcome remarks, Chitungwiza Town Clerk Mr Japson Nemuseso said the workshop will enable the local authority to reflect, plan, and innovate to ensure improved governance and service delivery.
He also said the workshop will help Chitungwiza Municipality to respond to the changing community needs and legislative issues, among other things.
Topical issues on the agenda include addressing the water crisis affecting the dormitory town, refuse collection, sewer reticulation and other development issues.
Those in attendance include Chitungwiza Mayor Rosaria Mangoma, Deputy Mayor Eddmore Muringa, and representatives from various Government ministries.
