Chitungwiza skirmishes: MDC-T activist in court

Chitungwiza at the weekend, yesterday appeared in court.

Boniface Muchena (23) of Zengeza 1 was not asked to plead to assault charges when he appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Ms Olivia Mariga.
He was remanded to November 10 for bail ruling.

It is the State’s case that on November 6 at Chibuku Stadium in Chitungwiza, Muchena was in the company of other MDC-T youths who clashed with Zanu-PF youths.
He allegedly struck Ever Mushonga with an iron bar on her spine and right arm.

Mushonga sustained serious injuries and was admitted at South Medical Hospital in Chitungwiza where she is receiving treatment.
She identified him as her assailant and a police report was filed leading to his arrest.
