Chiwara keen on CAPS Utd

UNSETTLED goalkeeper Itayi Chiwara is hoping to be reunited with the CAPS United family in 2014 after spending the just ended season at Motor Action.
Chiwara was off-loaded by the CAPS United executive alongside Nqobile Mpala, Washington Pakamisa, Asani Nhongo, Shingi Kawondera and Luckson Kaisa.

After falling out of favour with the Green Machine leadership, Chiwara then joined Motor Action after signing a six month contract.
The Mighty Bulls were relegated from the Premiership and Chiwara believes it’s time to move on, with a return to CAPS United being his preferred destination.

“I was playing for Motor Action but the six months contract has ended and I am now a free agent. This is the off season and I am weighing the offers that are coming my way but I would prefer to rejoin CAPS United,” said Chiwara.

Chiwara joined CAPS United in 2009 from Kiglon after having played for Shabanie Mine in 2007.
“I am no longer a rookie in the Premiership after I have played for Shabanie and Kiglon before joining CAPS United.

“CAPS United are a big team and I could say I enjoyed my time there and I hope to reunite with the family once again.
“I have talked to some of the officials and nothing concrete has been agreed on but I am hopeful that I will return home,” said Chiwara.
The agile Chiwara said while CAPS United remains his preferred team, he will not be closing doors on other offers.

“My first choice is CAPS United since I have been there before but I am considering other offers. Motor Action have already given me the clearance letter,” said Chiwara.

In the 2013 season, CAPS United had Tafadzwa Dube as the first choice goalkeeper while former Chapungu goalminder Joram Muchambo provided cover.
