“I am the one who brought in the music icon Michael Jackson in 1998 and I continue to support musicians. Jah Prayzah is one musician who has managed to raise the Zimbabwean flag high, that is why I want to give him a stand,” said Chiyangwa.
Other notable dignitaries who pledged to support Jah Prayzah include Minister of Youth, Empowerment and Indigenisation Saviour Kasukuwere, who invited the Third Generation Band to his office, and Zanu-PF Politburo member Cde Tendai Savanhu who promised to buy the band a musical kit.
Speaking on behalf of Minister of Media, Information and Publicity Webster Shamu, who was supposed to be the guest of honour, director of urban communications in the ministry Major Anyway Mutambudzi, praised Jah Prayzah for his artistry.
“This young talented musician has been in the music industry for some time now and has proved to be a vibrant, innovative, creative and dedicated artiste who is a force to reckon with.
“His music is a compilation of songs rich in messages that reflect on our everyday lives,” he said.
Major Mutambudzi said Jah Prayzah had shown maturity on his album.
“The album demonstrates how Jah Prayzah’s music has matured with each production. His lyrics are poetic and rich in messages touching on important aspects of society.
“The instrumental part of the production is not monotonous showing on each song a high degree of creativity and innovativeness.
“His stage work is one of the greatest acts to appear on the music scene in Zimbabwe,” he said.
Jah Prayzah performed songs from the album much to the delight of fans.
Musicians Peter Moyo, Romeo Gasa, Edith WeUtonga, Kapfupi, Alexio Kawara, Trevor Dongo and Progress Chipfumo thronged the venue to show their solidarity.
Jah Prayzah’s parents also graced the occasion.
This is Jah Prayzah’s fourth album after the release of “Rudo Nerunyararo”, “Sungano Yerudo” and “Ngwarira Kuparara” recorded at Diamond Studios.
