“It’s always a pleasure to perform before my fans. I always try to give my best when I am on stage and this show is not an exception, people should brace for a good show,” he said.
The musician said fans will have a feel of his latest album “Tose” and some of his old songs that made him a household name.
“I am planning to play most of my songs from my latest album as well as old songs. It will be a mixed bag,” said the affable musician.
Fronting the youthful Shades of Black, Kawara is known for getting it right on the vocals, sound quality, playlist apart from interacting well with the audience.
Kawara is also known for dishing out a full package with drummer Lesley Gurumani, lead guitarist Tawanda Ndoro, bassist Edwin Matambira and Cornelius Muponda (keyboard) and backing vocalist Ndomupei Masendeke, who have proved to be an amazing team whenever they set their minds to entertain their fans.
Alexio has been one of the most consistent young musicians and his music has come of age since he burst onto the music scene at the turn of the millennium.
Kawara, who is an afro-fusion musician, has a number of hit tracks that include “Shaina” and “Tinodanana” that he did with Tererai Mugwadi and Kana.
Alexio has often measured up to the task and often sets the entertainment bar high. His zeal for perfection is unmatched.
For a musician who carved his career from a nurtured hobby in 1999, Alexio’s discography continues to get better with each new release.
