The celebrations, dubbed “Vharayi Gedhi”, will see Sulumani Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah, Somandla Ndebele and Mathias Mhere sharing the stage at Chinhoyi Stadium.
Chiyangwa promised lots of fun and entertainment at the gig.
“You should know that Chinhoyi is my capital city. All that I have acquired should be credited to the Chinhoyi people and the whole of Mashonaland West.
“I am a child of the community who strongly believes that success one will acclaim comes from your people you live with.
“This is a celebratory gig and don’t ever get it wrong to say it has to do with primary elections campaign. I am going to celebrate my success with my people and I will thank them for all that they have done to me and in my life,” said Chiyangwa.
Chiyangwa said he will engage Nyau dancers to cheer the crowd and to make the event memorable.
“This event is going to be memorable as I have included the Nyau dancers to spice things up. Takakura nezvigure zvaititambira tichifara, zvakabva zvapinda matiri zvekuti handichakwainise kuzvikanganwa,” he said.
Orchestra Dendera Kings frontman Suluman will headline the gig that expected to draw huge crowds.
“It is true and it’s confirmed that Dendera Kings will this Friday perform at Dr Chiyangwa’s Vharayi Gedhi gig in Chinhoyi. No two ways about it as I am going to also celebrate my belated birthday the same day,” said Sulu.
Ndebele said the gig came hot on the heels of his new album.
“We are there to support Mukoma Chiyangwa and his family. Vakatipa rubatsiro rwataida uye nanhasi vachiri kutirangarira (He has been there for musicians whenever they needed support from him and he is still supporting us,” said Soma.
Newly appointed Zimbabwe Amalgamated Housing Association Charity Homes Programme ambassador, Mhere is also on the Chiyangwa’’s star-studded gig and is expected to dazzle fans.
He is going to prove a point why is he is currently the most sort gospel musician in the country.
Chiyangwa opted to celebrate all his success with the Chinhoyi people and musicians this Friday from 10:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening.
