DENDERA musician, Suluman Chimbetu, will be headlining this year’s Chopper Commemorations at Padziva on August 14.

The event is in memory of his father, Simon ‘Chopper’ Chimbetu, who died on August 15, 2005, and was buried at Chinhoyi Provincial Heroes Acre.

The Chimbetu family celebrates his life and legacy every August, and this year’s gala is themed ‘The Legacy Lives on’.

Sulu will headline the event to which other musicians are still being invited to participate in.

Chopper was declared a provincial hero, and buried at Chinhoyi Provincial Heroes Acre in Mashonaland West.

“We are inviting sons and daughters of music legends in Zimbabwe to help us remember a great life. We are still sending invites to musicians to assist on the day,” said Sulu.
