A HARARE man has been dragged to court by Mbare residents on accusations of conducting church services in their neighbourhood.
Magistrate Tamara Chibindi postponed the matter to today.
Denzel Ruzvidzo applied for a peace order against his neighbour, only identified as Chitumba, in the court papers.
Ruzvidzo said the neighbours engaged Chitumba over the issue, on many occasions, but to no avail.
“We are fed up with Chitumba’s conduct as he makes noise at night when most people will have retired to bed.
“He must take his church services somewhere else, and not in the neighbourhood.
“I study at night and I am being affected by his conduct,” Ruzvidzo.
In response, Chitumba said he had been working on measures to reduce the noise.
“We are actually planning to buy a stand somewhere else for the church,” he said.
