He’s a monster . . . dad hits out at rebellious son

A HARARE man was granted a protection order against his 28-year-old son he accuses of violent behaviour.

Peter Maphosa told magistrate Tamara Chibindi that his son, Ian, had no respect for the whole family.

“He is my son, but he acts like a monster. He is very violent.

“He assaults people at the house, breaks things in the house and smokes drugs inside the house.

“He disrespects me as his father by pointing fingers at me, insulting me and pushing and shoving me whenever I reprimand him,” said Peter.

He added:

“I still want him to stay because I love him since he is my son.”

In response, Ian said:

“Your Worship, I have no problem if you grant my father his application.

“I only have a problem with my sister and her son. My sister’s son disrespects me as an uncle,” said Ian.
