City bodybuilding contests moved

THE Mr Iron Man and Mr Bulawayo contests which were set for May in the city has been rescheduled to August due to financial constraints.
The country’s most prestigious bodybuilding contest, the Mr Iron Man was set for 28 May while the Mr Bulawayo was supposed to be staged a week earlier on 21 May.

The Bulawayo Metropolitan Bodybuilding and Fitness Association chairman John Mhangwa confirmed the postponement of the two contests, saying the re-arrangement was prompted by failure by his association to raise funds for the events.

The association needs about $10 000 to host the Mr Iron Man contest.
Four time winner of the Mr Bulawayo contest Simon Gama, who is also the spokesperson of the BMBFA, said they will work hard to make sure that the two competitions will be staged successfully in Bulawayo.
