A City of Harare traffic officer was this morning hit by a Honda CR-V that was trying to evade traffic officers.

According to a witness, the traffic officer was part of a group of officers who were in a traffic enforcement vehicle.

She and other officers allegedly jumped from their vehicle as they tried to stop the Honda CR-V. However, the driver refused to comply and the officer was hit.

When the news crew arrived on the scene, an ambulance and police officers were already attending to the injured traffic officer.

Efforts to get information from the police and traffic officers on the scene were fruitless.
