THE City of Harare has stepped up its road rehabilitation programme, completing repair works on several major roads across the capital as part of efforts to improve the city’s transport infrastructure.

An official from the local authority said repair works had been carried out on Glen Eagles Road, Lytton Road, Kambuzuma Road, High Glen Road, Highfield Road, Waterfalls Avenue and several roads serving diplomatic missions.

“We are also focusing on embassy roads at the moment. In addition, we have completed works on Main Street in Highfield and Willowvale Road,” the official said.

The road rehabilitation programme forms part of the city’s broader efforts to improve mobility, reduce vehicle operating costs and enhance road safety for motorists and pedestrians.
