THE City of Harare says it is still collecting rubbish from the industrial areas and is coping with the challenge.

In an interview, City of Harare spokesperson Mr Stanley Gama said the city is meeting its targets.

“Trucks are available, everything is available. If there is any situation of rubbish piling up in industrial areas, they must just inform us and we will take care of that as soon as we can,” he said.

Commenting on dumpsites, Mr Gama said; “I think we are clearing them because all residential areas are now being taken care of by Geo Pomona.

“In the industrial areas, we are taking care of them, but if there are any dumpsites, just contact us and we liaise with Geo Pomona then we take care of the situation.”

Also commenting on a dumpsite in Mbare opposite Mbare Musika, Mr Gama said he will have to check with Geo Pomona and the City of Harare team to find out what can be done.
