City of Mutare engages stakeholders on water utility formation

From The Town Clerk’s Desk

HELLO there, hope I find you well!
This week, our focus is on the ongoing consultations regarding the formation of a water utility company that is wholly owned by City of Mutare to manage water supply in the city.

This significant development aims to improve the efficiency and sustainability of our city’s water services, ensuring that all residents have access to clean and reliable water.

We began by consulting key stakeholders, including the business community, churches, Government institutions, people with disabilities, residents’ associations, representatives of informal traders and civil society organisations.

We are now taking the consultation process to the next level by engaging residents across various wards:

These initial consultations have provided a solid foundation for our engagement efforts, allowing us to gather diverse perspectives and insights from various sectors of our community.

I encourage all residents to attend these consultations, which will provide a platform for them to share their suggestions and ideas on how the water utility company can best serve the interests of the community.

For more information about this development, please contact the City of Mutare’s Corporate Communications Section on WhatsApp platform +263 775 792 461.

Join us every Wednesday on our weekly current affairs radio programme “Our City Wednesdays” on Diamond FM Radio from 1915hrs to 2000hrs.

Together, we will make our City great.

K.B. Chafesuka
Town Clerk
City of Mutare
