City woman finds relief from stalking ex-husband

Natasha Mbewe

A CITY woman has been granted a protection order against her ex-husband, who had been constantly stalking her.

Auxillia Tombe accused her ex-husband, James Bere, of  physically and verbally abusing her.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the protection to Auxillia.

She proved to the court that James was in the habit of stalking and insulting her in public.

“He beats me up every time we meet and he constantly calls me threatening to kill me.

“The issue is that I sent the child to collect school fees and he was angry because he does not want his new wife to know he has another child.

“Now, I am afraid of taking a walk because of him,” she said.

James was not in court and magistrate Chibindi granted the protection order in default.
