Veteran Classic 263 presenter Andrew Kiposa, known by his fans as AK, has died.
AK succumbed to pneumonia yesterday.

Famed for the Sunrise Show running from 3 to 6am, Kiposa’s opening song was “Feeling groovy”.

AK would constantly remind listeners that “Classic 263 is the only radio station you can listen to while you are sleeping,”

Classic 263 station manager Terrence Mapurisana expressed sadness over the loss of a colleague par excellence, citing that AK has left an irreparable void.

“He was a very principled and hard-working man. We started working together in the early 90s. He was a diligent and visionary man whom words cannot describe,” he said.

Not only was he a broadcaster, Kiposa was also a jazz musician with Soul Train Band.

He produced “Bwera”, a track featuring the late Tawanda Gudhlanga.

Mourners are gathered at Kiposa Farm in Marondera where he will be laid to rest on Friday.
