Club Super Label will today host the self-proclaimed Zimdancehall doctor, Freeman, at a show that is set to give the chanter a chance to prove he is still in the game.
The show will see Freeman sharing stage with Spiderman.
In an interview, Freeman said he was happy that he will be performing on a local stage after a long time.
“Honestly I am happy, it has been long since I last had a local show. I am promising a show of a lifetime since I have been waiting patiently for this opportunity,” he said.
The musician, who is also known as The HKD Boss and has released a song titled “Dhokota”, says he is going to be playing some of hit songs including “Handina Godo”, “Doctor Vemagitere” and also market his new songs.
“It seems people have forgotten about me in the industry. So I have released a single ‘Dhokota’ that is set to remind people that I am the doctor from way back. I think vanga vaita kakukanganwa. . . they had forgotten.
“Music is in my blood and no matter what people say, I still maintain my position as The HKD Boss, doctor wemagitare and I am there to stay and at this show I am going to prove it,” he said.
Club Super Label events manager Leopard Mugova said they are looking forward to a good since it has been long since Freeman performed at the venue.
“The show is set to be an explosive one, it’s true that it has been long since Freeman last performed at the venue but we still believe in him and we are looking forward to a full house.
“We are also looking forward to a great support act from Spiderman who is also doing well. We want to promote these upcoming dancehall stars by giving them the exposure,” he said.
Freeman is set to go to Mutare tomorrow for another show.
