TWO Harare women, who are in a polygamous union, are at each other’s throats over their spouse’s attention.
Beaulah Tame said she doesn’t want to see Pauline Kativhu at their husband’s workplace in Waterfalls.
She said this at the Harare Civil Court where she applied for a protection order against Pauline.
Beaulah and Pauline share a husband but live separately.
Magistrate Sharon Mashavire presided over their matter.
Beaulah said:
“Pauline used to come to my place of residence harassing me.
“She is currently going to my husband’s workplace where she takes things at the market while my husband is not there.
“She harasses my children whenever she meets them, she threatens to burn our cabin and calls me a witch.”
In response, Pauline denied the allegations.
“I last saw her kids a long time ago, I do not harass them.
“When I go to my husband’s workplace, I will be collecting things that I need for our child and I also get permission first from my husband,” said Pauline.
Magistrate Mashavire granted the protection in Beaulah’s favour.
