ZIMBABWE Soccer Coaches Association (Zisca) Bulawayo Metropolitan Province will hold its mid-year review meeting at the MAP Ndlovu Brothers offices on Monday evening.
Philani “Beefy” Ncube, Zisca Bulawayo chairman said the meeting is open to all soccer coaches.
“We’re inviting all soccer coaches from Bulawayo to attend the review and planning meeting that we will hold at the MAP Ndlovu Brothers offices on Monday evening. It’s important that coaches come so that we discuss and plan for the remaining part of the year together. Besides talking about coaching courses, we also have to discuss issues that are affecting coaches and find solutions,” said Ncube.
He said they want to lobby for advanced coaching clinics to be brought to Bulawayo so that their members acquire requisite qualifications.
Ncube, who is also the Bulawayo City FC head coach, said the meeting is also targeting school teachers with interest in coaching.
“We’re aware that teachers are strategic partners in as far as player development is concerned since they’re at the grassroots. What we’re advocating for is that they also acquire coaching certificates so that they impart the right knowledge to pupils,” said Ncube.
At Monday’s meeting, Zisca will also compile their database.
“We’ve to update our register and know the qualifications of our members or those who intend joining the association. This will be done so that we know which courses to ask for from Zifa,” said Ncube.
