A COBBLER was found dead at his residence in Mhondoro with stab wounds.

Mashonaland West provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Margaret Chitove, told H-Metro that the incident happened between June 19 and 20.

She said Obert Kupukai (55) from Mandaza Village, under Chief Nyamweda, was a well-known cobbler in the community.

She said a villager found a blood-stained knife at Kupukai’s house and alerted other members of the community.

“A report was made at ZRP Norton Rural and police attended to the scene,” said Insp Chitove.

She said police discovered stab wounds on Kupukai’s head, shoulder and right hand, as well as the blood-stained knife.

His body was taken to Norton Hospital mortuary.
