Coca-Cola hands over cars to Pimped Up Ride winners

Losca Gwanzura – were all smiles when they were handed over the keys for their Chevrolets.
“It’s just amazing that I am now a proud owner of a brand new car, this is my first car,” said an elated Jimu, who was accompanied by his wife Caroline. Asked whether he will keep the car or sell it, Jimu said he was still to decide.
Gwanzura could not hide her joy as she immediately went on a test drive.
“I thank the Lord for blessing me. It is my first time to win something in a competition,” she said. Dr Munyaradzi Nyandoro, the Coca-Cola general manger northern region, thanked the consumers and said he was proud to be Zimbabwean. He was optimistic that Zimbabwe’s economy set for good times and congratulated the winners for taking part in the Coca-Cola Pimped Up Ride promotion.
“We had well over five million entries which meant that this was one of the biggest promotions to date and this has been a tremendous success.
“This was one way of giving back to the community and we also have other community based projects such as scholarships,” he said.
