CoecohTarg and Wimpy First Street Branch have come up with the first ever Zimbabwean menu which will be targeted at kids especially those in kindergarten school.
This meal was launched on Saturday with the objective of making these young ones familiarise with the restaurant setting.
Cool Lifestyle was told by CoecohTarg project manager Tinashe Kubwalo that the partnership was formed on the back of realisation that most restaurants did not have menus tailor made for kids. “We noted that various restaurants in town did not have services specially made for kids thus we partnered Wimpy First Street to provide kids with an experience they will remember.
“In this partnership we will be providing two-course meals for these children which include the usual burger and chips, sausage, fish and a salad from which they choose what they want.
“The prices will be from US$5 and the kid will be given a gift bag while the US$20 has an educational trip to Harare’s parks where they will enjoy the company of Coecoh the Clown,” she said.
She added that the parks are good for the children’s mental development as it is unlike classroom environment.
Wimpy First Street Branch manager McDonald Mutasa said that kids will have a wide range of food to choose from.
“The main course comes with a drink, and for dessert the kids can choose a banana boat, ice cream, choc wave, fruit salad among others,” McDonald.
CoecohTarg is a child-oriented organisation that focuses on providing a learning experience for kids in a non-formal environment.
