College for Mash West

Committee chairperson Professor David Simbi yesterday said the college would be temporarily stationed at Cottco Training Centre in Kadoma.
“We want to start at Cottco Training Centre in Kadoma as we construct our permanent infrastructure at Mamina Growth Point in Mhondoro,” he said.

Higher and Tertiary Education Acting Minister Dr Ignatius Chombo said the college was important given the transformation of Chinhoyi Polytechnic College into a university.
He said the college would comprise a school of engineering and technology and a school of teacher education.

Dr Chombo encouraged Zimbabweans to vote for President Mugabe during this year’s presidential election in acknowledgement of his efforts in improving the education sector.
