Mr Tsvangirai made the plea while addressing his supporters at Mkoba Stadium in Gweru, saying that Prof Ncube should reconsider his stance and form a coalition with his party.
Mr Tsvangirai applauded MKD leader Dr Simba Makoni for agreeing to form a pact with him, but expressed disappointment that Prof Ncube and Dr Dumiso Dabengwa rejected his coalition agenda.
The MDC-T’s bid at forming a grand coalition against Zanu-PF suffered a stillbirth because of a tussle for leadership positions, leaving Mr Tsvangirai with political lightweights like Dr Makoni and a faction led by Zanu Ndonga’s discredited driver Mr Reketayi Semwayo.
Mr Tsvangirai claimed Zanu-PF planned to rig the elections and condemned the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission for perceived failure to handle the special vote.
