Zimdancehall and hip-hop artistes will grace the Comfort Pub and Grill at the Victoria Falls’ 2019 shutdown event hosted by D.T.L records.
The shutdown that will stretch from 28 to 31 December will see Bazooker taking the stage on Saturday, Templeman and Garry B on Sunday while Stunner will bless the revellers on Monday and Ti Gonzi finally closing the show on Tuesday.
The event will also feature various DJs including Oga Dave, Static, Mike, Mzie and Flavah Hoogie.
Pegged at US$3 (equivalent in swipe, cash and rtgs), one of the organisers Terminator Makoni said they wanted to cater for most locals who want to have fun but can’t afford to attend other gigs that will be happening at the same time.
“End of year shutdowns are usually expensive for most locals so they requested us to do something that they can also afford and enjoy,” said Makoni.
“Ti Gonzi will be playing for the first time in Victoria Falls and fans are really happy and counting down to the shutdown days.
“Preparations are going down very well. It’s going to be a really nice event. If people want to have fun this festive, then that’s the place to be,” said Makoni.
The organiser also said there would be lots of meat for braai.
“It will be fun. It’s a day to look forward to,” Makoni added.
